My favorite picture

This picture was taken in Govi desert (Mongolia), but not in central Govi.Thisn is a shamanist pile of rocks on a pass between moutains hill of stones (called an Ovoo). In Govi, temperatures reach +40° C. in summer, and -30C. in winter. While some areas only get rain once every two or three years. Strong winds up to 140 km/h make travel dangerous in spring and fall. I visited Govi with my family this summer vacation 2010 we had a very happy time, we piled up these rocks for blessedness. We need to walk around these piled of rocks three times and that time we can think god bless me or wish something.

  1. Hi, Holy:
It's a fresh experience to read your blog entry. I found what a 'shamanist' means from the dictionary, but still didn't understand clearly the 2nd sentence of your blog entry. Probably you should explain a little bit more about what 'thisn' is. In English, if you would like to add more explanation to some words, you will put an appositive next to the words that you want to explain. It's especially important if you would like to introduce something new to your readers.
